Food and wine will be available
Tickets $12 available at Vashon Bookshop or Mosaic Voices

In dark and troubled times, ancient peoples turned to the poets and mystics to find solace, understanding, and inspiration. Those old "knowers" knew that whenever we are lost or "at a loss", the soul is nearby. For the soul finds its way by touching darkness and releasing the hidden light. "Allow dark times to season you," says Hafiz. Rumi advises that somehow "your own desire will find an opening."
You are invited to an evening of ecstatic poetry and sacred music, a combined song that voices the longings of the heart and whispers words of Dark Wisdom that have encouraged the life-seekers for centuries.
Mythologist and storyteller Michael Meade will weave ecstatic poetry with ancient "wisdom tales", while The Qadim Ensemble offers devotional music of the Middle East. Qadim celebrates the rich spiritual heritage found in traditional Arabic, Jewish, Turkish Sufi, Greek, and Moroccan music.

Michael Meade will also introduce poets Samuel Green and Tony Curtis.
